Privacy Policy

Sum Hero ("the app", "we", "us") is a player-versus-player math game operated by Sydney Quant Pty Ltd. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and how it is handled. We only collect what is needed to run accounts, matchmaking, and competitive features.

Information we collect

• Account information: a username you choose, and an avatar selection. You can play as a guest, or sign in.
• Sign-in information: if you sign in with Google, Apple, or email, our authentication provider (Google Firebase) provides us with a sign-in identifier and, where available, your email address. We use these only to identify your account.
• Device information: an install identifier, device platform (e.g. Android or iOS), device model, and app version, used to secure sessions and support sign-in across your devices.
• Gameplay data: your rating, rank, match history counts (wins, losses, draws), questions answered, correct answers, and best streak, used for matchmaking, rankings, and your profile.

How we use your information

• To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
• To match you with opponents and run multiplayer games.
• To calculate ratings, rankings, and player statistics.
• To respond to support requests and fix technical problems.

How sign-in works
We use Google Firebase Authentication to verify Google, Apple, and email sign-ins. Firebase acts only as the identity broker; your game account and data are stored on our own servers. Firebase's handling of authentication data is covered by Google's privacy policy.

What we do not collect
We do not collect contact lists, photos, precise location, microphone audio, health data, or payment card details. We do not use advertising identifiers, and we do not sell your personal information.

Data sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. Information is shared only with the service providers that operate the app (such as our authentication and hosting providers) and only as needed to run the game, or where required by law.

Data retention & deletion
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing sydneyquant@outlook.com. We will delete your account, profile, and game statistics. For full details, see our account deletion page.

Children's privacy
Sum Hero is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy
If this privacy policy changes, this page will be updated with a new effective date.
